Privacy policy

This policy explains, in line with Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which personal data is processed when you visit this website and when you get in touch with us.

1. Controller

The controller for the processing is:

Unique Cargo Express Sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen), owner: Nelson Ngangjoh Cho Vohwinkelstr. 23 47137 Duisburg Germany Phone: +49 203 49 97 64 68 E-mail: info@uniquecargoexpress.de

2. Data protection officer

No data protection officer has been appointed. The legal conditions for a mandatory appointment under Article 37 GDPR are not met for our activity. For any question about personal data, please write to the address given in point 1.

3. Scope and general information

This policy covers this website in its French, English and German versions. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to.

  • The site presents our transport and forwarding services from Germany to Cameroon.
  • There are no user accounts, no newsletter, no online shop, no comment function and no recruitment portal.
  • We process personal data only where you provide it to us (form, e-mail, phone, WhatsApp) or where it is generated technically when you browse (server log files).
  • We use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and build no user profiles.

4. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany (all-inkl.com). The servers are located in Germany. The provider supplies the infrastructure and processes, on our behalf, the data technically generated when the site is accessed.

ALL-INKL.COM processes the data on our behalf. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with ALL-INKL.COM and forms part of the hosting contract.

Each time a page is requested, the web server automatically records the information your browser sends:

  • the page requested and the time of access
  • the IP address of the requesting device
  • browser type and operating system
  • the previously visited page (referrer)
  • the volume of data transferred and the HTTP status code

Purpose: delivering the website, technical operation, error analysis, and preventing and investigating attacks. The data is not combined with other sources, not used for advertising and not used to build profiles.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably).

Recipient: the hosting provider; no disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes.

Retention: 7 days, after which the log files are deleted.

5. Enquiry and quote form

The form on /devis/ (French) and /en/quote/ (English) lets you request a quote. We then process the following data:

  • title, first name and last name
  • e-mail address and, if you provide it, phone number
  • subject of the enquiry (type of shipment)
  • your message, including the type of goods, volume or dimensions, collection or drop-off location, destination and preferred date
  • the date of the enquiry and technical data relating to the submission (IP address, protection against automated requests)
  • your consent given through the checkbox

Purposes: handling your enquiry, preparing and sending a quote, performing the forwarding and transport contract if one is concluded, and preventing spam and abuse.

Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract); for the checkbox consent, point (a); for spam protection and technical logging, point (f). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (point 13). Spam protection is provided server-side by the Antispam Bee plugin; no data is sent to a third party.

Required fields: the fields marked as required are necessary to handle the enquiry. Without them we cannot prepare a quote. All other information is optional.

Recipients: the hosting provider, the e-mail provider (point 9) and, as far as necessary for the shipment, our transport, forwarding and customs partners in Cameroon (point 10).

Retention: we delete the data once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies. Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted six months after the last contact. Records relevant under commercial and tax law are kept for six or ten years under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO.

6. Container tracking

On /suivi-conteneur/ and /en/tracking/ you can enter a container reference to view the shipment status. The reference you enter is processed, together with the IP address and the time of the request, which are recorded technically.

Purpose: displaying the status of the corresponding shipment. The data is not used for advertising.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the search concerns your own shipment, and point (f) otherwise (legitimate interest in providing a simple status update).

Retention: search data is deleted 90 days after delivery of the shipment.

7. Contact by e-mail, phone and WhatsApp

E-mail and phone. When you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, content of the message) in order to answer your question. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, and point (f) otherwise.

For e-mail we use a Google account (Gmail). The content of e-mails is processed on infrastructure operated by Google Ireland Ltd.; processing in the United States cannot be ruled out. Transfers outside the European Union rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or on a certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as described in Google’s privacy documentation (point 10). Phone calls are not recorded.

WhatsApp. The WhatsApp buttons on our site take you to the messaging service WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., part of the Meta group). Opening the link transmits data to WhatsApp, including your phone number and device and usage data. On first contact, your number is visible to the recipient. Message content, images and voice messages are processed on Meta servers, including outside the European Union. We have no influence over that processing; WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply. For our own processing of the data received through WhatsApp, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, and point (f) otherwise.

If you prefer to avoid WhatsApp, please write to us by e-mail or call us.

8. Cookies, analytics, advertising and fonts

We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and no comparable technologies. There is no audience measurement, no retargeting and no profiling.

Technically necessary cookies. Running the site may require cookies set by the content management system, such as a session cookie. They serve solely to keep the site working and do not require consent under § 25(2) TDDDG. A consent banner is therefore not currently required.

Fonts. The Sora and Manrope typefaces are served from our own server (local hosting). Loading the page does not connect to Google or any other font provider.

Not used: Google Analytics or equivalent analytics, the Meta pixel, advertising networks, social media plugins, external map modules, external video players.

If analytics, mapping or marketing services were added, we would obtain consent beforehand under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG and update this policy before the service goes live.

9. Recipients of the data

We disclose personal data only where necessary to perform the contract, where you have consented, or where a legal obligation requires it. Recipients may include:

  • the hosting provider (point 4)
  • the e-mail provider (Google/Gmail, point 7)
  • partner drop-off points in North Rhine-Westphalia where you hand in parcels; they receive the details needed for acceptance and onward transmission (name, phone number, shipment details)
  • our transport, forwarding and customs partners in Cameroon, as far as necessary for carriage, customs clearance and handover; the name, address and phone number of the consignee and the shipment details are disclosed in particular (point 10)
  • our tax adviser and our bank, within the scope of our legal obligations
  • authorities such as customs and the tax office, where a legal obligation applies

We do not sell data and do not disclose it for advertising purposes.

10. Transfers outside the European Union

Cameroon. Carriage requires the consignee’s details (name, address, phone number) to be passed to our partners in Cameroon. Cameroon is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The legal basis is Article 49(1)(b) GDPR (transfer necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject). The transfer is limited to the information required for carriage and handover.

United States. Some providers (e-mail, WhatsApp) may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR, or on a certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where one exists.

For information about these safeguards, please write to the address given in point 1.

11. Retention period

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose concerned or as required by statutory retention periods. Commercial and tax records are kept for six or ten years under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO, then deleted.

  • Server log files: 7 days
  • Enquiries without a contract: 6 months after the last contact
  • Container tracking: 90 days after delivery
  • E-mail correspondence: until the matter is finally settled, then deleted unless a retention obligation applies
  • Commercial records: 6 years (§ 257 HGB)
  • Accounting and tax records: 10 years (§ 147 AO)

Statutory retention obligations take precedence over deletion.

12. Whether you must provide the data

The fields marked as required in the form are necessary to handle your enquiry and prepare a quote. Without them we cannot make an offer or conclude a transport contract. All other information is optional.

You can browse the site without providing personal data. The server log files mentioned in point 4 are generated technically in any case.

13. Your rights

You have the following rights towards us:

  • access to the data processed (Article 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16)
  • erasure (Article 17)
  • restriction of processing (Article 18)
  • data portability (Article 20)
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21, see point 14)
  • withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Article 7(3)); the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is unaffected

A message to info@uniquecargoexpress.de or a letter to the address in point 1 is enough. We reply without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receipt (Article 12(3) GDPR). That period may be extended by two further months for complex or numerous requests, and we will inform you if it is. We may ask for additional details to verify your identity.

14. Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)

Where we process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — server log files, spam protection for the form and answering enquiries — you have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to that processing. We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or unless the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

An informal message to the address in point 1 is sufficient. We do not carry out any processing for direct marketing purposes.

15. Right to complain to a supervisory authority

Without prejudice to any other remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority competent for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen Kavalleriestraße 2–4 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany Phone: +49 211 38424-0 E-mail: poststelle@ldi.nrw.de

Consumer dispute resolution. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.

16. Data security

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the address bar changing from "http://" to "https://". When encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.

Internally, access to personal data is restricted to the people who need it for their task. We cannot guarantee complete security when data is transmitted over the internet.

17. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place.

18. Last updated, changes and language versions

Last updated: 20 October 2026. We adapt this policy when the processing, the services used or the legal framework change. Only the version published on this page is authoritative.

The German version (/datenschutz/) is the reference version. This English version and the French version (/politique-de-confidentialite/) are translations; in case of discrepancy, the German version prevails. See also the legal notice (/en/legal-notice/) and the terms and conditions (/en/terms/).
